. . . . the Academy Award, that is! Director Juan Jose Campanella won in the best foreign language film category for El Secreto de Sus Ojos, "The Secret in Their Eyes". This is the second Oscar for Argentina in this category, following 1985's "The Official Story".

El Secreto en Sus Ojos, "The Secret in their Eyes", from Argentine director Juan Jose Campanella has been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Foreign Language Film category. The movie won 13 awards last December in Buenos Aires.

Roberto Sanchez, better known as "Sandro", died on Monday. Thousands of fans lined the streets of Buenos Aires to pay tribute to the fallen icon. Sandro was the first Latin American artist to play in Madison Square Garden, and recorded dozens of albums and starred in a number of films since his career began in the 1960's.
