Chaco Argentina
Known for its rich flora and fauna, the province of Chaco Argentina is located in the region of Mesopotamia and the Parana in northeastern area of the country. The capital city of Resistencia has become famous as "The City of the Sculptures". Since the 1980's, artists and sculptors have constructed over 300 sculptures displayed in streets and parks all over the city. What began as an art contest now defines Resistencia.
A major port and shipping area in the region is Barranqueras Port, located on the Paraguay and Parana Rivers.
An area of interest to visitors is Los Meteoritos de Campo Del Cielo. This park contains thirty craters that were formed by meteors hitting the earth over 5800 years ago.

tourist attraction. Located 30 miles (48 km) from Resistencia at the fork of the Paraguay and Parana Rivers, it is a haven for watersports enthusiasts and is famous for its dorado fishing.
Resistencia International Airport is located a short distance outside of the capital city and connects the province via flights and car rental with other cities and regions in Argentina.
